Miki Ando
She was the representative of Japanese  female skaters in the Torino Olympics.
Although  her place was 15th in the Olympics, she never gave up.
She changed her coach and renewed her training so that she could focus on improving jumping skills. As a result of her effort, she could get a gold medal in the world figure skating championships.
Not only jumping skill, but also her straight-line step drew audience into her skating world.

Mao Asada
She was the winner of  Japanese National Figure Skating Competition in 2007. Her jumping skill is believed to be the highest among female figure skaters, so she is often called " genius."  Becasue she had been struggling for a triple axel and pressure from people around her in this season,  she chose the U.S. as a place to train and concentrated on improving her jumping skills. Owing to her effort, she could jump triple axel and succeeded all of  jumps in the World Figure Skating Championships. As a result, she could get a silver medal up from the fifth place on the short program.

Yukari Nakano
She was the representative of  World Figure Skating Championship last year.  She practiced skating seriously and devotedly, so her performance is very stable. In addition, we can feel her challenging spirit from her try for a triple axel. In addition, her spin is attractive because of its stability and beautifulness. In particular, the highlight of her performance is a spin called "doughnut spin" like the above picture shows.
