new member who joined in 2002, which is after Hirabayashi (a former
base player) resigned (2001). |
The
vocalist of the Back Horn, but he can also play the guitar, base,
piano, trumpet! Sings sometime softly, sometime strongly, and sometime
screams! (Yay!) |
The
leader of this band. He becomes crazy when he plays the drums and
doesn't look around! Also, he
is crazy about Gundam. lol. |
The
mood-maker of the band and famous
for crazy guitar-playing as if being obsessed. He also writes
destructive and impressive songs that make people cry. |
| The Back Horn is... |
|
The Back Horn is a Japanese music band, which was formed in 1998 by
four
Japanese. They make decadent lyrics and destructive music with crazy
performance, but they are also popular because of delicate and
beautiful music. Their music has strong movie-like elements, so they
get offered for theme song for movies. Also, their artwork for the
jacket of CDs and booklet of lyrics are peculiar! (It is my opinion
though!) |
| Why "The Back Horn" ?? |
|
When Matsuda (Dr.)
was
little, he misunderstood "backhoe" with "back horn," and had called a
power shovel "back horn." Therefore, "back horn" was a big tool
that is used to destroy old things in order to make a new ones for him.
Band members thought it was a cool name for their band. However,
Matsuda found out that it was a misunderstanding after a while, but
they
didn't change their band name because they liked its sound; "back horn"
sounds like "baku-on" (explosion) in Japanese.
