Birthday: August 25, 1958 Bornplace: Burbank, California Tim Burton was once a animator for Disney, until he was hired by Paul Reubens and directed Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985). This film's success have brought him more creative freedom, and he begin to bloom his amazing gift as filmmaker. Although the numerous great movies he have created, his best and probably the most famous (well, atleast in Japan) for creating the stop-animation film The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). The first Tim Burton's film I saw was Edward Scissorhands (1990), when I was an elementary school student. Although I couldn't understand the story very well, the formative beauty and sentimentality in the film stole my heart at once. Using just the uniform tones, such as black, white, or blue colors are one of the characteristics of Tim Burton's film. His stories tend to be eerie but moreover, compelling. See Also...
