Bradley K. Martin, who has been following Korean peninsula issues since 1977, is the author of Under the Loving Care of the Fatherly Leader: North Korea and the Kim Dynasty (New York: St. Martin’s Press, 2004). He has worked as Tokyo bureau chief of Newsweek, The Asian Wall Street Journal, and the Asian Financial Intelligence. He was also deputy executive editor of Asia Times in Bangkok, and the Baltimore Sun bureau chief in Beijing and New Delhi. From 2002-2005, he was a visiting professor of journalism, first at Ohio University and then at Louisiana State University. He currently is a Tokyo-based senior writer for Bloomberg News.
